My Favorite Apps

Like most young adults these days, I’m on my phone pretty much 24/7. Considering I’m 15 and a total “young adult,” I think that gives me a little bit of standing when it comes to determining which apps are the best apps. I’ve decided to share with you some of my favorite social media, fashion, and photography/editing apps that I think everyone must have!

We’ll start with my person favorite, the social media category:

First off, there’s Instagram (obviously). I follow quite a few people, do the occasional “stalking”, you know you do it too ;), and try my best to post fun, engaging photos.

Next, there’s Snapchat and Tumblr. I’m on these apps WAY too much. I’m one of those people who snapchats almost everything. But hey, sometimes boredom just gets the best of me. With Tumblr, it’s easily one of those apps that I could spend the majority of my time on and not know that five hours have passed!
And lastly, Pinterest and YouTube. These two apps are like a black hole vortex that everyone and their mothers get sucked into with no end in sight. Since I don’t go on Pinterest or YouTube as often I -thankfully- don’t get too sucked in.

In the fashion world, I’ve got a few apps that I go on constantly:

Urban Outfitters, Lululemon, Anthropologie, American Eagle, and Free People have some awesome apps that I love to go on and “window shop.” I can’t always buy all the stuff I add to my cart so instead I just add it all and dream up ways I could make a few thousand dollars fast. Maybe pawn my sister off? Or, come up with the next big invention? A girl can wish. Also, these apps are super helpful because when you’re in one of their stores and you need a coupon the apps already have a few lined up for you!

Editing and photography apps are some of my most essential apps when it comes to posting photos on Instagram and this blog:

VSCOcam is by far the best editing app (for the iPhone) that I have yet to come across. I use it to edit ALL of my photos. If you’re going to download any of the apps I’ve mentioned make this one a first. I promise, you won’t regret it!

Light Meter is the perfect app if you’re using a DSLR camera and you need to set the correct exposure. It’ll tell you what to have your settings at for the particular lighting you’re in and for me, it works great every time.

More of a fun app that I use to mess around with is Glitché. I’ll upload some of my photos and make the people in them look different or funny, it’s just a playful app.
Whew! If you stuck with me all the way through this post, way to go! I use all of these wonderful apps on a weekly basis (sometimes daily) and I highly recommend them! They’re so useful, enjoyable, and a great way to make life easier and a little more fun!
